Welcome to the website of the Somerset Cricket Museum
The museum is part of the Somerset County Cricket Club family, helping to make the Cooper Associates County Ground one of the most attractive and welcoming cricket grounds in England.
The ground and the museum are in the heart of Taunton, less than ten minutes walk from the main line railway station and the bus station and five minutes walk from the heart of the County Town’s main shopping centre.
During the close season the Museum will be routinely closed until April, but we will be in the Museum Offices on most Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from around 10:00am during the winter months, so if you wish either to have a short visit to the Museum or indeed to buy some books from the Museum Book Shop do contact us via the Contact page to arrange a visit. We will be pleased to see you. |
Although there are no physical barriers between the Somerset County Cricket Ground and the museum buildings we are completely separate organisations. The museum was established in 1985 as the successor to the Somerset County Cricket Club Supporter’s Association.

Membership
Throughout it’s life the museum has been generously supported by a membership scheme. There are currently about 85 members who pay £5 a year although many add a donation. The museum would not have survived over the years without their continuing support.
If you would like to donate to the Museum or to become a Member please click and complete the Contact form here or if you would like to Subscribe and receive updates regarding the Museum, complete the Subscriptions form here.
